Whats Next For the Hugely Popular JLS Boyband From X-Factor?

As Aston, Marvin, Oritsé and JB reach the top spot last week with their second single “Everybody In Love”, selling 120,000 copies in its first week – 20,000 more than debut single “Beat Again” – it’s hard to imagine that this time last year they were battling their way through X Factor, each performance better than the last. On the fifth series, JLS sure showed the audience something they had never seen before. Never had a band like JLS featured on X Factor.

In the past year, JLS have been signed to Epic Records, supported Lemar on his 2009 spring tour, performed alongside Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris and The Saturdays at T4 On The Beach, and — in between all this — managed to record their highly anticipated, self-titled, debut album, which today reached number one in the album chart, beating the likes of Robbie Williams and Snow Patrol! Although JLS came second on X-Factor, some may argue they have achieved more than rival Alexandra Burke, who won the competition.

So what’s next for the band? With a performance on Children In Need this Friday, and leading T4’s Stars Of 2009 on the 29th, JLS are keeping busy. With an ever-growing fan base behind them, JLS are hot property right now, and their recent come-back performance on X-Factor was a huge success. Their 2010 tour kicks off at the end of January, and tickets are selling in their thousands, so it doesn’t look like JLS will be gone anytime soon.
