Gold farming inside World of Warcraft is something every player is trying to do. The problem with most gamers is they spend too much wasted time in low drop locations and as a result make less gold per hour then they otherwise could.
One of the more popular items to farm right now is the relics of Ulduar. These items can be handed in for reputation rewards with the Sons of Hodir. Why these items are popular is because many of the best vendor only enchants in the game come from being exalted with this faction.
Due to this popularity not only are many players trying to gain this faction reward but also these relics are selling for huge gold on the auction house. So I decided to write this article to help people out in understanding the best locations to farm for this valuable WoW item.
Best Locations to Farm Relics of Ulduar
While there are many locations you can farm these relics from I will only include what I have found to be the top three locations along with tips and techniques for each spot.
1. Snowdrift Plains (North Western Corner of Storm Peaks). This is my favorite location to farm these relics from because of their amazing high drop rate. The problem with this location is that all the gold farmers know this as well, but there is a workaround to this problem. Most people try to farm these from the quarry pit but on the other side of the snowdrift is another location that sees very little traffic. So your best bet is if you see two or three people in the quarry just head on over to the other side and enjoy all the drops for yourself.
2. Vrykul Mines (Inside the Brunnhildar Village). This is another one of my favorite locations for farming relics of Ulduar. The miners inside the village have a high re-spawn rate as well as a high drop rate for these relics. The main problem here is that the location also is home to a daily quest and so can become crowded with competition. It’s not a big drawback however as the daily quest is fast and easy and you’ll soon be the only one left still farming in here.
3. Fjorn’s Anvil (77,63). Just west of the Dun Niffelem and beyond the frozen lake is where you’ll find Fjorn’s Anvil. This is my favorite location for farming relics of Ulduar. All you need to do here is to kill the seething revenants, over and over again. Why is this spot so great? Simple not only do these creatures have an insane re-spawn rate but they also drop greens, gold and of course the relics. On a good run you can pick up easily at least 100 relics an hour here.
The main problem with this location is high traffic. Not only are there other players completing daily quests here but this is also prime ganking grounds. So the solution is simple, if you see heavy traffic around here, then go check out the other locations mentioned above and return here later when things cool off.
