It was Christmas 1980 when I got my first ever video gaming system: the Atari 2600. It was an 8 bit system. The resolution was 160 X 192. It did have 128 colors, but the screen could only handle 4 different colors at the same time. It had an 8 point directional joystick and only one button. But It was amazing the games you could play on it!
The video game market has come a long way from those days, and the number of people playing video games is increasing every day. There is an incredible market for huge, in-depth games with wild story lines and amazing graphics. Just look at the success of such titles as “World of Warcraft”, “Grand Theft Auto” and “Halo”. But so many of these games require a huge time commitment to get the most enjoyable experience out of them. They are far from reasonable for the ‘casual gamer’ to take on.
So where does a person go to find great games that won’t take up your entire day? There are many game developers out there who create simple games that you can play from five minutes to an hour. They are simple to learn. They have great graphics. And the titles and subjects are so varied that you are bound to find something that spikes your imagination.
Big Fish Games is the site that I have found myself that provides plenty of gaming options. They have games you play online straight from your browser, or you can download free trials of all their games and get a full sample of it before deciding to purchase.
Gaming categories include Action/Adventure, Strategy, Board Games, Hidden Object Games, Mahjong, Card Games and games for Kids. All games have great graphics and sound. Many of them are great to play as a family. And they also have ‘Brain Teaser’ games to help stimulate your mind when your job doesn’t.
Give Big Fish Games a try. They have over 1,000 title to choose from. You can download all of their games for a free trial before you buy. And they also have a great catalog of online games that you can play for free. Plus, They have great bonus material for subscribers.
