1. Motorola Xoom becomes official, headed to Verizon in Q1, upgradeable to 4G in Q2
Motorola has just outed its delicious Honeycomb tablet alongside another device, the LTE-equipped Bionic, on its official site. The company’s CES press conference is ongoing right now, where the Xoom will presumably get its proper announcement. All we know so far is that this slate is headed to Verizon, the press release is still somewhere in the hidden parts of the internet. More soon!
2. Motorola Xoom 10-inch Tablet: Android 3.0 Means a Lot Less Sucky
The Moto Xoom tablet is like the tablet equivalent of Motorola’s Atrix Android phone, with the dual-core 1GHz processor, 2-megapixel front camera, 5-megapixel rear camera and 1280×800 display. But it actually runs Android designed for tablets. Not sucky!
3. Motorola Xoom tablet crowned best CES gadget
The Motorola Xoom Android Honeycomb tablet, unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It is set to be available in the first quarter of the year and with a 10.1-inch (25.6-centimeter) screen, the Xoom is about the same size as Apple’s iPad, which hit stores in April and has other leading technology companies around the world scrambling to catch up

(NYSE: MMI), today unveiled the innovative new tablet Motorola XOOM™ − the first device on Google’s new Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system designed from the ground up for tablets. The Honeycomb user experience improves on Android favorites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customization and features the latest Google Mobile innovations. The Motorola XOOM device will launch as a 3G/Wi-Fi-enabled device in Q1 2011 with an upgrade to 4G LTE in Q2. Starting in Q2 2011 the Motorola XOOM will be a 4G LTE/Wi-Fi- enabled device.
